
Candidate for Membership
There is one class of membership in the North Shore Kennel Club (NSKC) and it is open to all who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who have read and subscribe to the working rules and bylaws of the North Shore Kennel Club. Each applicant for membership must attend at least two general membership meetings and/or be on record as having helped at two club functions and then shall apply on a form provided by the club. The application shall carry the endorsement of two members in good standing. Those applicants who do not have club member sponsorship because they are new to NSKC members are required to submit letters of recommendation from two other reputable people with a similar area of canine interest or other dog club affiliation.
Upon submission the membership application will be considered at the next NSKC Board of Directors meeting and if accepted the applicants name will be printed in the next issue of the NSKC Newsletter as an applicant under consideration. All club members will then have until the next NSKC Board of Directors meeting to submit in writing any possible objections to this applicant. Any letters of objection will be reviewed by the board and at that time and the applicant will either be granted club membership or denied. A letter stating acceptance or denial will be returned to the applicant subsequent to the NSKC Board of Directors determination and acceptance or denial will be printed in the next issue of the NSKC Newsletter. Any applicant denied membership is entitled to re-apply after 6 months from their initial application.

Print cover sheets (2) for your sponsors to include with his or her letters of recommendations and the content guidelines for information the club is looking for from sponsors in referral letters ( if some areas are not applicable that is fine ). Once sponsors have completed their letters they may return them to you in a sealed envelope or mail directly to club.

Make check out to NSKC for first years membership dues $25 family / $20 individual ( will be returned if membership is denied )

Mail application form, check and two letters of recommendation ( which cover sheets ) to NSKC. If sponsors are mailing letters directly to NSKC please be sure they have been received by the club before mailing in the rest of the information.
